  Things we must understand

.) There are certain things a dog must learn on it's own (use of nose, fences, etc.).

.) There aren't any shortcuts to success, & winning comes from proper preparation.

.) Not all dogs are capable of meeting our expectations and/or their breed standards.

.) Electric collars are an excellent tool, but if misused, can build distrust in your dog!

.) We cannot teach a confused or scared dog, period! Stop! Backup! And start over!

.) Dogs are like humans and can have bad days too! Days & weekends off are needed.

.) A dog will develop their learning abilities before they are 1 year of age.

.) The output of each dog 's performance is determined from the input of its owner.

.) One bad experience/day will not ruin a dog for life!

.) It is not always the dogs fault!

If you practice and understand these guidelines "starting your puppy from day 1", your chances of getting thru the next level are increased dramatically!!!!
